I wish that this article would have gained more attention. So many have thought the " Prophesies" had some validity. Apparently Ratzinger does... he picked the name " Benedict". In Xto, Vincent

I have to say I was very surprised to see it sitting there in the dusty pages of the AER. Let's hope that people notice it and spread it around. Vince Sheridan wrote: Apparently Ratzinger does... he picked the name " Benedict". Great point. I had not ever noticed the connection. He really wants people to think he's the real thing, doesn't he?

I believed the Malachy prophecies included anti-Popes too. So even if B16 is an anti-Pope he would still be included if the prophecy were correct.
You do of course know that JP2 was born during a solar eclipse and was buried on the day of one also.

Pax Christi !
Well, if it is authentic prophecy ( which I have never thought about one way or the other) after this benedict, isnt there just one left? i.e. Peter the Roman?
In Xto, Vincent

In Xto, Vincent Vincent, not necessarily so, there are some who believed that "in persecutione extrema" is still another motto. I was told this interpretation is not a new one. BTW i allways believed in this prophecy, but i still have to read the issue. i`ll probably do it today. Cristian

Pax Christi ! Quote: He really wants people to think he's the real thing, doesn't he? Indeed he does, and he wants his buddy to be also, thus declaring him a saint. "We can be sure that our beloved Pope is standing today at the window of the Father’s house, that he sees us and blesses us. Yes, bless us, Holy Father." Homily of Cardinal Ratzinger , St. Peters Square, 8 April 2005 scary indeed !

Re: "Prophecies of St. Malachy" Debunked
So, are we over this fake prophecy yet? It just occured to me the other day that nobody seems to mention the so-called prophecy of St. Malachy these days. It's marvellous how firmly so many used to be attached to it, and how quietly it has slipped way... Frankie Fandango's now showing his age (he's 77), after not very long spreading heresy to every corner, and may not even outlast Ratzinger. What next?

Is Francis the last Pope? A rare interview with Archbishop Gänswein http://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/ ... ein-46598/It's astonishing how ignorant these people are.
